Yesterday I was sitting in the living room watching Lucy play when the foyer caught my eye. It sunk in at that moment how much I was going to miss this little house. It will always be our first house full of so many good memories. Light, bright and so cozy. Maybe that's subconsciously why I've been putting off filling it with boxes.
I love that you posted this shot with your laundry (or whatever that is) hanging over the railing. It looks like a real home.
ReplyDeleteHouses do store loads of memories. At least you have lots of photos from your blog to look back on.!
I can imagine that it would be bittersweet. But your first home will always have a special place in your heart. Take lots of pics before you move!
ReplyDeleteOh that is kinda sad huh? Everyone around here is so sentimental, my kids say we can NEVER move!! oh my goodness....but I'm sure you will make your next place just as fabulous!!

I know that exact feeling Sarah! There is a lot of sadness with leaving a place that you have loved. Yesterday we were in our old neighborhood and it was so strange to see someone else's things at our house! Good luck to you in these upcoming weeks.
ReplyDeleteHi there,
ReplyDeleteI am new to your blog and having fun looking around. Your foyer is beautiful, can I aske what color the walls are?
Congratulations on the sale of your home! We are building a new house right now and going to be putting ours for sale very soon. It's bittersweet. :)
Kristi
Hi Kristi! The color in the foyer is called Paper Latern by Sherwin Williams. I'm so glad you stopped by! Good luck with your new house, that's so exciting =)
