inspiration monday

I had a big beautiful inspiration wall in my painting studio back in college. I think it's about time I start a new one. They're just so damn inspiring plus it would give me an official place to accumulate all my real-life image hoarding.

Happy Monday, cheers to a fab week and a 3-day weekend for many of us to look forward to!

love

In my opinion life's all about the little things. For me one of those little things is pumpkin coffee from Dunkin' Doughnuts. (no, no one paid me to write this) Thats why I literally squealed and almost peed my pants when Nick got back in the car last night,  handed me my coffee and told me it was pumpkin. It was a welcome surprise that reminded me fall is surely on it's way. This summer has been especially hot and depressing. I just want to break out my cool weather cozy clothes and order the wood for the fireplace. I'm ready, bring it!

Hope you guys have a great weekend. I'm headed to Bloomington, IN to see some dear friends. Stay safe my east coast friends!

ramblings

It's smellin' like chili up in here. God I love slow cookers. They're so magical.

We spent the weekend giving up our last spare room to make way for baby. This is a challenge for Nick and I as we've never had a house (with the exception of our first apartment) where we haven't had a spare room for overflow - a dumping ground if you will. It's good for us I guess, it's forcing me to sell off a ton of stuff on Ebay to make room. I never knew I had so many dang linens. And why is it the linen closet is always the tiniest one in the house but it's responsible for holding all of the towels, seasonal bedding for multiple bedrooms etc..? Oh to design a house, I would make sure it has a kick-ass linen closet and at least two microwaves in the kitchen.

Do you know what's coming up? September! I declare September 1st the official day to begin fall decorating. I can't wait. I've even caught myself online Christmas window shopping for Nick and Lucy. Oh Monday you were good to me- Thank You!

big news

What do I have in common with Hillary Duff, Tori Spelling, Rebecca Gayheart, Swedish Princess Victoria, Alyssa Milano, a Spice Girl, Lindsey Price, January Jones, and Keri Russell? We're are all havin' babies ya'll!

That's right we're over the moon excited to be expecting baby number 2 in early March! Nick and I can't wait to give Lucy a sibling and add to our brood. I ripped this photo out of a magazine today- love this look! So excited to have a sweet and cozy fall and winter with my bump.

prayers

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families of last nights horrific events at the Indiana State Fair. We live about 25 northwest of the fairgrounds and felt the storm rolling in. It actually knocked our power out from 8:30 pm - 12:30 am. Around 9:15 pm Nick and I began receiving calls and texts about the stage collapsing on the crowd below that were gathered to see the band Sugarland preform. Thankfully everyone I know that was there is safe but many were not as lucky. The videos of the actual collapse that are circulating the Internet are so dramatic and frightening.

missoni for target

TARGET has gone and done it again. They've teamed up with Missoni for perhaps their most impressive collaboration yet. I'm not even showing you everything. There are baby clothes and blankets, a line for tweens and more housewares. I'm dying over this. It will be an early morning for me the day this line launches.

this line just might bankrupt us haha. I mean seriously that bike!? You guys are killing me...

I feel the way Milania Trump always looks. Totally pissed off and annoyed with blogger. For almost 3 weeks now my account has reverted back to the old editing. I don't know why it's done this but it's extremely maddening because blogger doesn't seem to have a direct help resource, just forums for other bloggers to ask each other help questions. L-A-M-E C'mon Google you can't afford to have staff respond to questions? Sad.

When I upload photos they don't show up- just all of the coding does until i hit publish then the pictures appears. It makes editing posts with lots of images nearly impossible. I appreciate your patience while I try to figure this out and if any of you know what I should do I'd kindly appreciate your advice. Thank you!
