I'm having a small lighting crisis in my house. Simply put- it's a little cavernous on the first floor. The kitchen and the family room are the main culprits. It a little inspiration Ala Domino.

Free Art
Feed Your Soul: Free Art Project is super neat. A friend sent me the link yesterday and I just had to share. Below is an excerpt from their website. Thanks Melissa! ♥
News flash….the economy sucks. The stock market is up & down, people
are losing their jobs and homes, all sorts of businesses are closing down &
nobody seems to have any idea what the hell is going on. That’s the bad
news…
Now for the good news. Even though the economy is tanking, it’s more
important than ever to stay positive. We shouldn’t dwell on the negative news,
it’s just not doing our souls any good. To that end, I came up Feed Your Soul:
the free art project to hopefully bring a smile to your face and brighten your
day.

Let's Party
Who's in the mood for a great party? ME! These are photos from a recent party celebrating Brian Atwood's collaboration with Rene Russo. I wish I had a reason to get super vamped up. For now I'll just live vicariously through these beautiful peeps.

Just Right
Every now and then I have a moment where I suddenly stop and quietly think to myself "I have everything I need right now." It's so easy for me to slide into the more, more, more mode. I'm a very project oriented person and once somethings done I have the urge to start another one. Right now I'm trying hard to put myself in "slow motion." Yesterday afternoon while I was planting carrot seeds I got the feeling I was being watched. I turned around and right on the other side of the little chicken wire fence that guards my garden was my precious Arlo relaxing in the grass contently in warm spring sun. I glanced over to look for my other dog Trixie, and she was sniffing something under a tree. At that very moment I realized how content I was too. ♥

Fashion in the Garden ♥
My dad always kept a garden. You could always count on fresh tomatoes in our house. They smelled and tasted so good. When my husband and I purchased our first home last April the tulips & iris's had already emerged and the grass needed to be cut before the last box was even unpacked. Needless to say my dream of having my own garden was put off for a year.
This year I'm so excited to have the chance to put in my own garden. I dug out the small plot yesterday, filled it in with some fresh organic dirt, planted some romaine lettuce, and then fenced around it. I will add tomatoes and carrots this weekend.
Over the course of my thought process I decided that along with my new garden that I would surely need new work boots too right? I fell in love with the Hunter Wellington boots and I convinced myself that while they are a small splurge they are completely multi-purpose as clearly illustrated by the photos of Kate Moss above. So I snapped up a black pair from Nordstrom last Friday and I'm all set. Now I'm crossing my fingers and praying I have a green thumb!♥

TGISPRING
It's here! It's finally here- it's officially spring. I don't even care that it's cold today because these cold days are numbered and it's only a matter of time before the warm weather is here to stay. The beautiful photography is by Debi Treloar. Enjoy & Happy Spring!!!
