I received my new Restoration Hardware Baby catalog yesterday and I'm a smitten kitten over the new girl crib bedding and crib collection. It's very "Serena and Lily" but at much friendlier price tag. I love the white crib in the first picture with it's caning on the sides. So pretty!

Lucy turns 6 weeks

My little girl is already six weeks old, where does the time go? It's a cozy rainy day here filled with lots of fresh laundry, Baby Mozart, and a quick trip to Target for some Easter goodies. Hope your Thursday is treating you well. =)

It's the find of day where I just want to soak in a tub surrounded by pretty white candles...

and then this is where I would take a 4-6 hour nap...

and then wake up and spend the rest of my time drinking an entire pot of coffee and eating every last cupcake on that pretty little cake pedestal. Is it Friday yet?

laundry room before/after

As I mentioned the other day it was time for a little spring cleaning on my house. I spent the weekend working on a quick laundry room makeover. It was part of my continuing quest to "de-oak" the house. I used some paint that we had left over from refinishing Lucy's changing table, bought some new glass knobs at Hobby Lobby and a new sack holder for the wall. The whole project set us back around $25 and I think the results show it was money well spent. Fresh and updated. Happy Monday all!

1:32 pm today = ♥

At precisely 1:32 pm today Spring will be here, or so they say! We're starting it off with a good scrubbing around our house. Rugs are being shampooed, the baby got a bath, the dogs are getting their teeth cleaned, NIck id off getting is hair cut, and I'm tackling the laundry hall. It's not even a room just a tiny pass through from the garage into the house but it needs some help. I can't wait to share the before and afters with you on Monday. Happy Spring everyone!!! ♥

How cute is this dollhouse bookcase from Layla Grayce? It retails for a small fortune but I think with a little sweet talk and waving the baby under my dads nose I can convince him to build her one.

How much fun would it be to have a swing in your dining room? The rest of the house ain't too shabby either! Happy St. Patrick's Day all, we're off for a nice long walk.

Is it me or am I the only one who would be perfectly happy just vacationing in someone else's sweet home? It could be in BFE but if the house has a gorgeous spread that's a ll I need. Just to live it up in a fab house for a week cooking great meals and sleeping in in a fabulous fluffy white bed?

The weekend flew by and so did yesterday. Lucy has seen better days than the previous one but I know that's to be expected from time to time. So sorry for the silence, I promise I'll make up for it. For right now though I thought I'd share with you the babies birth announcement. I was so proud of getting them out before she hit three weeks, that was my goal. Happy Tuesday everyone, I'm off to try and sneak in a shower!

Yay for new bedding! I first saw the Shabby Chic bedding on Holly & Sean's blog over at Life in the Fun Lane. I swooned over it for weeks and finally gave in and picked it up at Target yesterday. There is a similar version at Anthropologie that came out in 2008 but not exactly budget friendly. This is the perfect compromise, it looked so pretty and fluffy when I popped it out of the dryer. As soon as I'm satisfied with my master makeover I promise I'll share some pictures!
