I'm living in a dreamland today where the kids are behaving perfectly and we spend the morning eating chocolate chip oatmeal cookie pancakes and drink icy cold milk while ignoring the fact that there is red hot record breaking heat outside. My Scandinavian blood is not made for this and not to mention I'm still very bitter over the lack of the fluffy white stuff this past "winter."

I can't believe Grayson is approaching 4 months old already. From the start he's been so easygoing and is never without his signature smile on his face. He's brought so much joy and happiness to us but I wish time would slow down just a little...

It's a new week....

We spent yesterday at the zoo and Lucy is now convinced that that's where Dora lives. We bought her a little pair of binoculars at the gift shop so she can stop pretending with toilet paper rolls at home. She is now obsessed and cried last night when it was time to put them away and go to sleep. Her ever growing enthusiasm for exploring the world around her is amazing to watch.

We need rain here like it's nobodies business. I'm so tired of watering every night. We all have our summer colds and I'm over the heat. Time to turn this poor attitude around and remember why this time of year rocks!

Grayson turned three months old about a week ago. It's so fun to watch his little personality begin to emerge. He had to have a frenulectomy a couple of weeks ago and since then he's really taken to "chewing" on his hands.

I've been toying with the idea of painting the inside of our front door a glossy black. I can't decide...

My lavender pathway that I planted last year has really taken off and so has the wisteria I planted on the arbor. It's awesome when things actually grow the way you want them to.

It's Monday and for some reason today strikes me as a particularly good day for a fresh start. I'm not sure with what yet exactly but it's always a good feeling to think you are ready to take on anything and everything. Cheers and seize the the day!

Hey guys hope everyone is having a great week! I'm getting ready to head off to take the baby to a doctors appointment. Life's been so crazy busy lately- hope it slows down just a little soon. I'm looking forward to seeing my childhood bestie tomorrow and having a nice relaxing weekend with some time by the pool with the fam.
