new fun stuff and thank you

Happy Monday guys! Just returned home from a toddler-tastic trip to kindermusik with Lucy. While she's been off in dreamland I was able to photograph and list a few new things in the etsy shoppe.

I wanted to to say thank you to Christina for featuring my striped bathroom makeover yesterday. I was so excited, THANK YOU!

Hope you're all off to a great week!

glam board and batten

I've seen plenty of board and batten projects floating around blogland as of late. I'm really loving this uber glam take on the traditional treatment!

the frog is king

A while back you may recall that I redid our upstairs hall bath with stripes. I knew as soon as I opened the can of yellow paint I hated it. If you really want to see it click here. I went against my instincts and moved forward anyway. Once I was done I just tried with all my might to just love it and own it. Wellllll that only lasted for a couple of months before I got the itch to fix things. The other thing I couldn't stand was how badly my blue tape bled. I still wanted to go with the striped look but this time I used Frog Tape and it was nothing less than a magical experience! It cost $8.99 a roll and it only took one for the whole project. I highly recommend it. I'm thrilled with the paint choice this time- so glad I mustered up the gumption to re-tape and level everything it was totally worth it.

out with the dusty in with the rusty!

Last week on my antiquing adventure we came across a beautiful buffet. I had it in the back of my mind for a few days randomly. On Friday night we went looking for a coffee table for our family room but everything kept coming back to the horrible black laminate thing our tv was sitting on. It's been a sore spot for me since the day it came home. It collects dust like its nobodies business, the tv sits so low the baby plays with the buttons, she also pinches her fingers in the drawers and pulls all the dvd's out. Nick finally said maybe we just need to replace it. Ding ding ding! Enter the sweet distressed antique cream buffet. It looks sooooooooo much better. We still need to wrap up the cords hanging down but I love it so much. The TV sits up way out of Lucy's reach now and she can't even get the doors or drawers open (for now). Not to mention all that storage and it just has so much more dang character! Sunday I went around and blasted the house with some spring/ Easter paraphernalia. I love the pops of color! Our bulbs are emerging in the yard too. It won't be long now...
