fireplace scapes

I've seen dozens of holiday mantle posts lately that are so pretty and inspiring but it got me to thinking... what am I going to do when the rush of the holiday decor is a fresh memory on January 1st and I'm left with a naked house?

    I like the idea of getting a few Emmys and displaying them.

    I always think the house feels sad after the Christmas stuff is taken down. For some reason I have a problem decorating for post Christmas winter.
